Blackheads
 

Use turmeric scrub to get rid of blackheads. To prepare turmeric scrub, add a few drops of water and lemon juice to turmeric powder. Dip some of cotton ball into the paste and apply this paste as a mask on the area, affected with blackheads.  Leave it for a few minutes and then, rinse it off with lukewarm water. Prepare a paste of turmeric powder and coriander leaves and gently apply on the area affected with blackheads and massage gently for some time. It is also very effective blackhead removers.

 

Acne
 

Make a paste of margosa leaves and turmeric, and apply the paste on the acne inflammation and wait for 10- 15 minutes then wash with some cold water. The antibacterial properties of both these products will clear up the acne and fight the infection as well. Another remedy is to mix the turmeric powder with the lemon juice and apply this paste on the acne. A pinch of turmeric mixed with mint juice is also effective in preventing acne. Apply the paste on your acne or pimples and leave it on your face for a few minutes.

 

Melasma
 

Application of turmeric powder mixed with warm milk is one of the best treatments for reducing melasma during pregnancy, which lightens the tan or dark skin discoloration effectively. Take 3 tablespoon of turmeric powder and mix it with raw milk to make it into smooth paste. Apply this melasma face mask evenly on your skin discoloration on face and let it to dry for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Repeat this melasma ayurvedic remedy on a daily basis to cure melasma fast.

 

Dark Circles
 

Apply a paste of turmeric powder and pineapple juice on your eyes as an effective homemade mask for dark circles. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes and rinse off.  This is a simple DIY homemade mask for getting rid of dark circles and bags underneath your eyes. Mix a teaspoon each of tomato juice and lemon juice and add some turmeric powder to it. Now smear this turmeric mixture very gently under the eyes and wash it off with water after 10 minutes to reduce eye puffiness and dark circles.


 

Chicken Pox Scars on Face
 

You can use turmeric in many ways to treat chickenpox and its after scars. Grind margosa leaves and mix with turmeric powder to make a paste to apply to scars. This remedy will clear the chickenpox scars naturally. Adding a spoonful of turmeric powder into the bathwater also helps, as turmeric has natural antibacterial properties that help to kill the germs in the scabs and blisters.

 

Hyperpigmentation
 

Turmeric has many skin care benefits. It is excellent for fading scars, reducing hyperpigmentation and skin lightening. To get rid of discoloration of skin or freckles, make a turmeric paste and apply to your face or discolored skin. Another remedy for treating hyperpigmentation is to take equal quantities of turmeric powder and tomato juice and mix well to get a paste and apply on the pigmented areas. Allow the mask to sit on the pigmented skin for 15-20 minutes and wash off with cold water and pat dry to get rid of hyperpigmnentation on your skin. Make a thick paste using chick pea powder and lemon or orange juice. Add a bit of turmeric powder to the mix and apply it to the dark skin on neck and face.

 

Dark Spots
 

Regular use of turmeric paste with lemon juice and cucumber extract on the blemishes on face helps in curing facial dark spots and skin imperfection naturally. A teaspoon of coriander juice mixed with a pinch of turmeric powder helps in reducing pimples, acne marks, and black spots on face. You can prepare a paste made from mixing turmeric powder and aloe vera juice. Apply this mask on the face and massage gently. Applying a combination of turmeric and coconut oil is one of the best ways to get rid of black spots on face. Make a paste of fresh turmeric and mix 1 teaspoon of coconut oil with it and apply on the facial dark spots from acne.


Rosacea
 

Turmeric in its powder form is useful as a treatment for rosacea redness. Mix a few tablespoons of turmeric powder with plain yogurt, milk, or honey in a bowl. Apply the mixture on the affected skin area. Leave it on for 15 minutes, and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Regular application of raw turmeric paste on rosacea patches helps to cure rosacea symptoms.

You may use turmeric root in a number of ways to get relief from eczema. Apply a paste of neem leaves and organic turmeric powder on the eczema affected skin to get relief from the burning sensation instantaneously. Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with 1/2 cup of warmed up olive oil and apply this mixture on the eczema affected area and massage gently. Another eczema remedy is to add some turmeric to almond oil and apply the paste on the skin. In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, turmeric powder, cream, and milk create a smooth paste and apply the turmeric paste to the area of unwanted facial hairs. Scrub it off with a good face scrub and then wash with cold water. Turmeric root has properties which remove facial hairs and the body hairs with regular application.

 

Peeling skin
 

Turmeric is so good for our flaky skin. Turmeric mixed with some olive oil and some honey can be great treatment for the skin peeling issue. Apply this paste to the peeling skin twice per day to help rejuvenate dry skin and initiate the healing process to repair peeling skin.

Turmeric is an excellent skin rejuvenating agent and can help treat Vitiligo effectively. When taken internally, turmeric also works as a good blood purifier and immune booster. The combination of turmeric and mustard oil is also believed to help restore skin pigmentation. Make a paste by mixing two tablespoons of honey, a teaspoon each of rice powder, sandalwood powder and turmeric powder, and apply this scrub on your face. Wash it away with cold water after 10 minutes. This not only acts as a cleansing agent, but also prevents the appearance of white spots.

 

Burn Scars
 

Turmeric powder is very effective in removing the scars from your skin. The turmeric acts as a natural antiseptic as well as prevents the appearance of a scar. To get rid of scars caused due to heat and burns, mix some turmeric powder with raw milk and apply the paste on the scars and let it dry. Another effective home remedy for burns can be made by combining equal portions of barley, turmeric and yogurt. Mix all the ingredients and apply it on the burnt area.

 

Turmeric Remedy for Boils
 

The anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric help to cure boils. Just take one teaspoon of turmeric powder in warm water three times a day or take 450 mg of turmeric capsule daily as an effective treatment for boils.

Also try this home remedy for boils- mix turmeric powder, water and curd to make a paste and place it directly on the boil. Continue this remedy every day until the boils heal completely. Application of turmeric remedy helps in bringing the boil to a head, which leads to draining pus,  reducing swelling and then healing. A dosage of about 450 mg of turmeric taken everyday will also help cure your boils due to its strong anti-inflammatory and blood purifying abilities.

 

Ringworm
 

Raw turmeric is one of the best remedies for treating ring worm. Apply fresh turmeric extract to the infected areas with the help of a cotton ball. Additionally, you should also consume raw turmeric juice mixed with honey. Wait till the paste dries up and then wash off the area with cold water. Apply this treatment on a regular basis until your infection disappears.

 

Hives
 

Hives are small, swollen, itchy, red areas on the skin that may occur singularly or in clusters. You can use turmeric to heal hives. Apply a paste of turmeric in water on the rashes to relieve itching. Another remedy is to drink 2 teaspoons of turmeric powder in a cup of water daily. It also serves to combat the infectious organisms causing hives. As such, this remedy is also an effective method of hives prevention.


 Scabies
 

Turmeric is a wonderful home treatment for scabies. Take one tablespoon of turmeric powder and add a few drops of lemon juice to it to form a smooth cream and apply the cream on the affected area. Leave it on for about an hour. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. As the turmeric herb contains anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties to help relieve the symptoms of scabies. Also make a paste using neem leaves and turmeric by mixing them with sesame oil and apply on the affected skin for immediate relief from scabies.
